1. Different support structures:

The vertical machining center refers to the machining center in which the axis of the main shaft and the table are vertically arranged. The vertical X and Y axes are combined together, and the Z axis moves up and down the column, which is suitable for small precision molds and parts processing. The larger one is about 4 meters long, and the model can be determined according to the specific object to be processed.

The gantry machining center refers to the machining center in which the axis of the main shaft is perpendicular to the worktable. The Z-axis support structure of the gantry is different, and the Y-axis is horizontally placed between the two columns, which increases the load and processing range of the worktable.

2. Different uses:

Gantry machining centers are mainly suitable for machining large parts. The vertical machining center is mainly suitable for processing complex parts such as plates, discs, molds and small shells.

In addition to these two differences, the characteristics of vertical machining centers are more clear:

1. Environmental protection and no pollution: no oil pollution and mist are sprayed out during use to protect the surrounding environment;

2. Accurate oil supply: the oil can be delivered to the lubrication points such as the spindle and the lead screw according to different needs by adding a regulating valve;

3. Wide applicability: there is no problem of difficult atomization of high-viscosity lubricating oil;

4. Automatic detection and monitoring: It can detect whether the lubricating oil is normal. If the lubrication is not good, it can alarm and stop to avoid the abnormal operation of the equipment.

5. It is especially suitable for the rolling bearing of the main shaft, which has a certain air cooling effect, which can reduce the operating temperature of the bearing, thereby prolonging the service life of the main shaft;

6. Low fuel consumption and cost saving.
